Yes today in my Ap european history class(so boring) i almost induced an OBE in the waking state. I began to feel my body rising and i got scared and didn't know what it was so i pulled myself back in. Then i got curious and tried again and i rose up. Then i made myself sink down. It was fun for a while. i definatly know this wasnt just me being bored because i remmember staring at the bored and copying the notes but at the same time rising and i would feel myself pull back into my body and when i looked at my paper it was nothing but random scribbles, even though i remmember taking down all the notes. :-P i'm going to keep trying i'm sure i'll get it soon! needless to say it was very cool

Heheh, good job I've been working on going into an OBE from a conscious state for a while now. I know exactly what you mean. During long car rides sometimes I try with it. It seems to be really hard to actually disconnect from your physical body, especially if it still conscious. Usually before going to bed Ill get into that state and from there I try and put my body to sleep, sadly my mind tends to go along with it . For one minute Ill realize how well I'm doing and am about ready to sleep, then when I wake up in the morning I realize I fell asleep, yet again .

I do some weird thing where, if I have a friend over and I'm falling asleep, I'll feel myself start to rise and I'll hear the TV or whatever is going on, but the minute I try and talk, it's like I just babble out random parts. My mind is completely lucid and comprehinding, the body is otherwise. One instance that I know what I said was: My friend: "Hey, how do you beat this Dr. Salvador? (from RE4)" My response "Chaainnnn isss.... beeactchs bar gnerad." I actually fully awoke after he poked me a few times and told me what I said. I tried to say "To beat the chainsaw guy, use a grenade." STILL NO OBE YET!

Lol.. it takes practice. I never actually had the pleasure of slipping from direct conscious to OBE. I always seemed to fall into a trance-like sleep and work up when I was nearly completely out of my body several, several time. I never seem to be awake for the "extraction" (As I like to call it).
